Fire Safety
If you hear the fire alarm, you should head to the nearest marked exit in a calm and orderly manner. In the main office, there are exits at either end of the floor; in the Warehouse and Factory, you can exit via any of the marked doorways. You should not stop to retrieve personal items. You should obey instructions given to you by the Fire Marshals.
The meeting point is in the car park outside of the building and is marked with a green sign. If it is unsafe to meet there, you should follow instructions from the Fire Marshals. You should not go back into the building until told it is safe to do so by the Fire Marshals.
Please ensure that you do not store personal belongings in or near any fire exits. All exits must be free from obstructions that would impede their use at all times.
Fire doors should not be propped open and should remain closed at all times. If you see a fire door that is held open, you should remove the obstruction and close it.
There are fire extinguishers located throughout both buildings. You should not tackle a fire unless you are confident in the use of the fire extinguisher. You should instead raise the alarm immediately and evacuate the building.
You should make sure that you are aware of the fire exit routes at all times and, if unsure, you should ask your manager.
