Safety Footwear Policy

SAFETY FOOTWEAR

All staff, office and factory, must wear safety shoes if they are outside of the designated walkways in both the warehouse and the factory. However, if you are only walking in the designated walkways to get to and from the offices, safety footwear is not required.

The boots or shoes that we provide are extremely hard wearing and should last a minimum of 12 months with normal use. However, if you are treading the backs of the shoes down or pulling at the sole to remove the shoe, then this will shorten the life of the footwear.

Please note that unless there are exceptional circumstances, the Company will only pay to replace shoes or boots once every 12-18 months. Staff requesting shoes or boots more frequently than this will be asked to contribute towards the cost of their shoes themselves. Likewise, should an employee leave their shoes on top of their locker and they are taken, these will also need to be replaced at the employee’s expense.
